EXPORT - FOOD INDUSTRY

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has been encouraging the new processing capacities for agro-food products through its various policy initiatives and plan schemes providing financial incentives for setting up of new units and modernization of existing units .

Vision 2015 adopted by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries              envisages:
Trebling the size of the processed food sector
Increasing level of processing of perishables from 6 to 20 per cent
Value addition to increase from 20 to 35 per cent
Share in global food trade to increase from 1.5 to 3 per cent

Hospitality Industry in India

Hospitality Industry is poised for a major growth. 20000 more hotel rooms are required for Commonwealth Games. To cater to the demand for rooms 5 year holiday from Income Tax for 2 star, 3 star & 4 star hotels as well as convention centers with a seating capacity not less than 3000 has been proposed in this year's Budget.

Hospitality India which encases various categories of Equipment being used by the hospitality sector offers a platform for the manufacturers & suppliers to display the latest state of the art equipment manufactured by them whether locally or internationally.

This exposition helps the visitors from the hospitality sector to find one window solution to their growing need to provide hygienic environment at back of the house (Kitchen), good quality food & higher level of productivity.

Beyond that Hospitality India is helping local manufacturers to upgrade their manufacturing standards to meet the onslaught of international competition. For achieving this lot of investment is being made by local manufacturers on improving skills of manpower, bringing in quality machinery and tools and late?t technology to upgrade manufacturing process. This all is reflected in the quality of locally manufactured equipment being displayed in this exposition. Areas which have seen remarkable change in these years are Bakery, Laundry, Food Service Equipment.
