CAPACITY BUILDING

CIFI organises regular workshops and training programmes on various topical issues relevant to food Industry like:
• HACCP Training programme for meat & Poultry Sector
• HACCP Traning programme for Confectionary Sector
• HACCP Traing Programme fro Infants Food Industry
• Sensitisaton workshops at cluster level on potential opportunities in processing, Quality control and Market development in different parts of the country

TRADE FACILITATION

To promote multilateral and bilateral trade with potential and emerging nations in agro food processing sector. CIFTI is actively involved in trade facilitation measures through:
• Regular participation in international food exhibitions in different countries viz: Germany (ANUGA France (SIAL), U.K. (Royal Agricultural Show), USA and Europe.
• Maintaining a close liaison with all foreign missions and counterpart Chambers of Commerce and Industry Associations within India as well as outside India
• Organizing international conferences and exhibitions viz: Food world India, Annapoorna world of Food, International Food Tec etc.
• Setting up of different joint working groups on Agro-Food Processing viz: India-U.K Working Group, Indo-Italian Working Group etc.

Some other activities of CIFTI are as follows:

• Conduct studies and undertake projects for organisations viz:UNIDO, UNDP, Ministry of Food Processing Industries and also for its members.
• Through it’s monthly news bulletin “CIFTI DIGES”, CIFTI serves the information needs of its members by bringing the very latest in news to keep its members in sync with the current happenings in the food industry.
